The TCNJ Bonner Institute along with The Center for Community Engaged Learning and Research welcomed back the 2017-18 TCNJ Bonner Community Scholars the week of August 21st with the annual Bonner Orientation. During the five day event, Bonner Scholars had the opportunity to meet and plan with community partners, learn about the Trenton community, practice reflection skills, brush up on Community Engaged Learning Events (CEL) and discuss current social issues. Bonner Scholars also bonded while trying local cuisine, attending a bonfire at Fernbrook Farms and participating in the annual Talent Show, which is always a big success. At the conclusion of the week, Bonner Scholars helped facilitate the Democracy Matters presentation during Welcome Week.
